I usually tell shelbys work because she leaves a shit ton of skin to tuck. Ive had a few things from her and its especially in the corner of the mouth and its like, perfect. Its so much, that you HAVE to cut it in half sometimes XDDD And her wet tans have a smell you can recognize. I only have one dry tanned. Doesnt smell like the others TOO much.

yeah, i've heard about the lip skin, but i guess it's better to be safe than sorry xD my pronghorn has LOADS of eye and lip skin. my coati doesn't seem to have much eye skin but like, i can't even EXPRESS how small their eyes are. like i literally could NOT fit a dime through his eye |D"
i think my pronghorn face might have been wet-tanned, just dried out. (i've never felt a dried up wet tan??? but he's sooooo stiff.)
but yeah they smell identical (the pronghorn even has a "PL Tannery" tag)- codie just smells more prominent- he's newer i'm assuming. |D

Yeah, dried up wet tans are like..folded and stiff and they have a feel to them thats not pleasant. I have a piece i just sent off that was wet tanned and then dried. It was a scrap but it got stiff.
They dont go through oiling and stretching which is why they get so stiff when dried..
New tans have a stronger smell, also depends on the oils they use. those can STINK. and even if it smells good- fff. I have a fox face and holy SHIT. if you go NEAR it its like shoving your face in a tub of leather oils from a tannery. it gives you a headache.
