This is not only just a photograph as an entry in the "My Dead Critters and Me Contest," held by *WolfForce58205, but it is also meant to just be a meaningful picture of my wolf and I.
I literally had been watching her listing for months. At first it was a, "Yeah, my dream wolf, but I wouldn't spend the money." But I kept going back to her listing. No one was buying her but many people had their eye on her, some even possibly saving up their money for her. I wanted her, but that was so much money to spend on a pelt... but there was a connection. I could feel it then, and can feel it now.
So, I was sitting at the computer on a Friday, mulling over whether I should fork up the money or not. My dad suggested I wait until Monday and call in to see if I could get a 100 bucks off- y'know, barter. I mulled over it some more and just the mere thought of losing her over the weekend tore at my heartstrings so intensely that I bought her immediately. And I had to wait ten agonizing days for her to reach me because I always order from Hide and Fur on bad days/around holidays.
She is so worth the way and money.
When I got her, I pulled her out of the minuscule box with a breathy gasp, shocked and amazed by her sheer size and beauty. I couldn't stop "whoa'ing" and "wow'ing" as I looked her over, realized she was a female instead of a male, and just taking in everything about her, everything from the freckles on her face, to the stripes on her back leg, to the brown hidden here-and-there among the fur, how she looks almost purple in natural lighting, how she looks like a collie when you puff out her face, how there is a white stripe goes down her back, how she actually has nipples, how her tail gradients off to white with a pink tint, how DARK burgundy the fur on her paws are, how old she must have been, and how silky her fur on her ears are. I could go on and on.
I love her so much, but I do feel horrible that I haven't thought of a name yet... I figure one will come to me like it had with Bracken, my coyote.
Also, the reason this is titled "The Reckless Wolf" is because of my tumblr. Many people call me "Reckless/Reck/Recky". So it seemed fitting. C:

I did not kill this wolf. She was most likely taken for population control, in Canada. Her kind of wolf is not endangered and to own a pelt of one is completely legal in my state. She even has tags. Don't like it? Don't look.
